Hi, I’m Veronica!
For the past 2 decades I’ve had the privilege of working with children with autism as a special education teacher, ABA provider, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and business owner. And somewhere along the way, I noticed something: autism comes with a whole language of its own.
IEPs. ABA. Echolalia. Stimming. Reinforcement. Sensory processing. The list goes on—and somehow, parents and teachers are expected to know what all of it means!
That’s exactly why I wrote Learning the Language of Autism: An A to Z Guide for Parents and Teachers.
