About Veronica Crafton

My career started as an assistant teacher at Emory’s Autism Preschool. I fell in love with the work immediately — with helping children unlock potential that other people hadn’t seen yet.

I went on to teach special education across multiple grades and a wide range of learners, and I was named Teacher of the Year. But I kept running into the same problem. The teachers around me cared deeply about their students with autism. They had almost no training in how to manage behavior or deliver instruction to them. The gap wasn’t effort. It was tools.

I founded Amazingly Uplifted in 2013 to close that gap. I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst so I could bring the science as well as the classroom experience. Today I work across schools and private ABA settings, and I train the educators and families who spend their days with children on the spectrum.

I wrote Learning the Language of Autism because parents and teachers were sitting in the same meetings using different vocabularies. It’s an A-to-Z guide meant to get everyone on the same page.
